Sick of the recent winter weather and want to get to work or out to play? This latest creation from German company, GOVECS GmbH should do the trick.
The concept of the ski-scooter was developed by Riminimoto in Italy and successfully tested in the Dolomite Mountains. Downhill scooter skiing and even driving & gliding on snow covered public roads without emissions and noise is the ultimate way of transport in winter sports areas. The GO!SNOW is equipped with a special SKS A Advance kit with double short ski’s. At the rear is a low pressure, cross tire with cleat profile for optimum grip. The GO!SNOW S2.4 ski-scooter has a lithium polymer battery and the advanced, efficient electric motor takes care of propulsion, in combination with a maintenance free belt drive. With a torque of 54 Nm the GOVECS GO!SNOW ski-scooter has good traction from low revs at any speed, even in the snow and on icy roads. The hydraulic disc brake at the rear and ‘snow board like’ gliding take care of stopping. The brake is regenerative, so the battery is recharged whilst braking. Just like the road going GOVECS scooters the GO!SNOW ski-scooter has a low center of gravity for superb maneuverability on snow covered roads and slopes. The electric GOVECS ski-scooter can be charged at any common household socket via the integrated charger. After two hours the battery has reached 85% of its capacity again. No prices have been set but don’t expect it to be cheap…
