Kawasaki are organising a countrywide Demo Weekend on the 16th and 17th of March, delivering test rides on a cool selection of bikes from across the 2013 Kawasaki range plus a free to enter prize draw.
For many it signifies a long awaited chance to sling a leg over the newest machines such as the highly rated Z800 Streetfighter in both standard and e version A2 compliant guises. Bookings are also being taken via a simple on-line registration process for the Ninja ZX-6R 636 middleweight Supersport sensation and the Ninja 300, a bike that will not only appeal to first time riders but a lot more besides.
Augmenting the push to offer as many rides as possible on the four recently launched models, Kawasaki dealers up and down the UK will also be making a diverse selection of test ride machinery available. Bikes like the top selling Z1000SX, the awesome Ninja ZX-10R and even the world’s fastest accelerating motorcycle, the ZZR1400 may be available for test ride according to Mark Spiller, Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, “We know that a test ride is an absolutely crucial part of getting to know a new machine and so too is the chance to talk to someone who knows how the bike ticks and performs. See, Touch and Ride is a great way to sum up what is going to be happening over the weekend of 16 and 17 March and we hope as many riders as possible will register on-line to secure that all-important chance to ride and judge our bikes for themselves.”
With many Kawasaki dealerships offering all four new machines on their test ride fleets, others are extending the offer according to Spiller and creating a fleet that includes both larger and smaller capacity machines, “The Versys family of 1000cc and 650cc machines is one that you simply have to ride to understand their true spirit and, for those who want adaptability, economy and fun, we know that many dealers will be offering rides on the ER-6f and ER-6n as well as machines that are sometimes less easy to secure a test ride on”.
Registration itself is not simply a mechanism to find out what’s on offer machine-wise though. As Aimee Osmond of Kawasaki explains, it’s also a way to enter regional free prize draws and a national competition with some great prizes on offer, “British Superbike season review books are on offer and so too the chance for Kawasaki fans to win a day at the new Mick Extance Kawasaki off-road school, or indeed the Chris Walker race school at Mallory Park. As an overall grand prize someone is going to win a pair of tickets to the Assen BSB round in Holland including hospitality, flights, accommodation, plus an entire year’s supply of Motorex products. With a chance to ride the new bikes and win a great prize, we hope as many people as possible enjoy this great event.”
