Who ever said that scooters were slow? A PM Tuning twin cylinder Lambretta auto has just broken a new world speed record with an incredible 11.61 second ¼ mile run from a standing start.
The record was broken at Santa Pod Raceway during the first round of the 2013 X-Race Championship. The PM X2 sprinter was piloted by Joe Elliot and his top speed was recorded at 114.98mph. Timing was controlled and made official under strict FIM rules (permit No 38008). The record beats PM Tunings previous unofficial time of 11.83 set at Elvington last year.
