We’ve just returned from a fantastic two weeks of riding across Europe to Croatia and back. The trip was to take part in Vespa World Days in Biograd, an annual weekend event held in a different city around the world each year.

Scooters can make the perfect tourer, they’re comfortable, have storage space and are great on fuel. Our trip took in ten countries, we rode 2500 miles, took two overnight ferry crossings, the Eurotunnel and we were away for 15 days. Highlights of the trip for me included riding the Stelvio Pass in Italy, dodging snakes in Croatia, riding along the stunning Croatian coast, visiting Lake Como and riding through the Alps, Switzerland and Austria. We camped for most of the trip and woke up in some gorgeous places, had snowball fights at the top of a mountain pass and swam in the sea on an island hideaway.
